Definitely a DoW2 expansion - and that's probably what they will work on.
It's rare that a popular RTS is released that doesn't get an expansion a year later. Hell, they don't even need to be all that popular. It's possible that they'll outsource it like they did with Soulstorm, but I doubt they will and sincerely hope they won't.
But after the first DoW2 expansion (and hopefully a second), I hope they work on Homeworld 3.
I would like to see Homeworld 3 first, then Company of Heroes 2: Modern Warfare. :Paliblabla2007
This would be really interesting, especially in a middle eastern urban conflict scenario like most of the COD4 maps
I want to play as tyranids so a dawn of war expansion is what i hope forNilhelm
You can play as tyranids in DOW 2(most probably).

that would be awesome, i would want a CoH expansion/sequel/spinoff and going modern would be great, calling in gunships/tank busters instead of bombing and strafing runs...as long as they dont include any form of nuclear devices...id be well up for that

Yeah, I personally am expecting the original four plus Tyranids and Imperial Guard in the vanilla game. It might be too much to expect six armies right out of the box, but then again, I imagine the armies in DoW2 will be mostly the same as they were in DoW1, so they could use their DoW1 armies as templates.
Getting a lot of armies into DoW2 shouldn't really be all that hard - especially since Relic doesn't go for hardcore balance like Blizzard does.
Unless they are going for hardcore balance this time, in which case we might not even expect four armies in the starting game - but I don't see that happening.

I hope Relic's balance for Dawn of War 2 is at least up to standard with most average game. It's terrible in the original Dawn of War.
But then again, it's probably going to be damn hard to balance 4 Warhammer 40, 000 races.

I don't think a nuclear explosion can actually uh... fit in CoH-sized maps. :|
Problem is though that a modern warfare setting for an RTS is... who are the enemies? There are no significant wars going on in the modern world, and terrorists cannot realistically expect to compete with such a vast and advanced army as most Western nations possess.

thats why i dont want any nukes in it :P
but yeah, i guess they would have to make up an enemy...which would mean making up a war...but im sure they could come up with something decent :P

COH is all about small squads going from hedgerow to hedgerow fighting over every bit of land. Thats what makes a middle eastern setting perfect. Imagine militia groups, terrorist cells, recon forces, guerilla squads, marines, SAS, Delta, etc fighting over every torn apart building and destroyed townhouse, fighting door to door for every scrap of territory. It doesnt need a new war to be invented, it already has a perfect setting in the small scale skirmishes that occur everyday in Iraq
