only through gameservers can your purchase a server of your own and the admin powers are going to be heavily crippled.

cod engine is so light that any machine could host 18 slot servers , i dont care about graphics but cod games look so ugly to me , textures streched out everywhere (hurts my eyes) not enoug filters , buggy details etc. and the funny part is that ign gave cod mw2 10 for graphics (begin rofl ; end.)Farkeman

Um... You have always needed to pay for servers... In fact, an 18 player ranked server on Black Ops will cost less than one on WaW and CoD4 do RIGHT NOW on average...

Whenever there is a monopoly, and it's not partially owned by the government or some other party that prioritizes the interests of the public, it's a known fact that consumers will get screwed over.

And that's exactly what's happening with this crap.

People have a choice of what servers they play on. If you don't like the performance you're getting on a sever you can always disconnect and find a new server. You do realize that don't you?

When all the servers are running on the same crappy computer on the same crappy connection from the same crappy location, it doesn't matter which server you are on. You realize that don't you? You can disconnect and use Treyarch's crappy servers, or you can use GameServer's crappy server. Either way, you lose. The whole point of dedicated servers were so you can control them. Being able to kick and ban should be a given, not a feature for PC gaming. Either way, have fun playing Black Ops with the same kiddies that bought and play MW2. I'm pretty sure the same problems from MW2 are going to be there in Black Ops and Black Ops is going to temporarily top the Steam charts and cause a sensation just like MW2. As for me, Black Ops is a no-buy, just like MW2 and CoD4 so I won't be affected.
