Age of conan is it really really too late?

I really want to get into an MMO since I dont have a job and school will be a breeze next year ad was just thinking about weither to head to AoC with it's expansion out I heard great reviews on this. But the question is did that expansion save the game and is it going to bring in people now?

How is the server population?

I played back when it first came out for amonth or two, I enjoyed it up until I left that first introduction area/town. I have read positive reviews for the expansion, I may have to try it again.

It seems to me that people playing it like it, and there is a decent amount of people playing. Of course comparing it to wow makes it seem like a huge failure, but its doing more than well enough if there are 100 000 or so active members at once.
