Age of Conan, Vista, and DX10

Im really looking forward to Age of Conan but as an XP user im concerned that AoC will force me to use Windows Vista.  I've heard there's a massing upheaval of gamers in revolt.  Is XP gonna get DX10 support or am I just gonna have to bite the bullet, upgrade to vista and say goodbye to my framerates??

XP is not going to get DX10, however AoC is playable on XP in direct x 9Samulies

Yup that's what they are saying and they've demoed the difference at last years E3 :)

The reason XP CAN'T get DX10 is because Vista is architecturally different in order to support the VERY different DX10. And while DX10 may not offer much more in the ways of image quality, it will increase FPS by a considerable margin. I love how people say stuff like "Oh the 8600 series doesn't handle DX9 very well, so how could it run DX10?" DX10 is a much better architecture with great optimization, so frame rates will be higher in DX10.imrlybord7
