Age of Mythology Nowadays

....... So this is a Longshot,....... heh, but hence the name.

Recently I re-installed Age of Mythology and after some attempts, and some you-tubing I was able to find another way the game can be playing using a host program called GameRanger.It reminds me of the gamespy used to operate back in the old days of the original Halo, and getting that to play online.

I'm wondering if anyone out there on these boards still plays it on-line and or if they use GameRanger to do it?

What can you tell me about it as far as,... How do I make it work to play someone on-line?

And

Would you like to set up some games together?

Well it hasnt worked once yet for me. All different kinds of errors when trying to connect with people for AoM so far. I've checked their forums but theres just a bunch of people asking for help and quoting the same issues to no response or avail.

Quite sad, I do love the game and would really like to play against some live opponents.

Thanks player. I'm going to give that a shot right now!

..... So it's been a little while and things were going fine,.... but now theres almost 0 players on Voobly most the time.

IF ANYONE out there is interested in playing some 1v1 games or even 2v2's please pm me and we'll set up some games.

I'd consider my level roughly intermediate. I thought I was pro level but most of the guys on Voobly clean my clock, so even if your only semi-good at the game, we could still have some interesting matches.

Considering my PC's track record of running old games, I'm not going to bother installing it. Great game, though.

Damn I miss Age of Mythology. Great game. Too bad Ensemble dissolved.
