Aion is pretty much a grindfest when I played. It does get bored quickly while leveling unless you multitask. But once you hit 50 I heard it is fun. And they update it regularly. Like they are adding 5 more levels in the next update i think.

I played WoW A LOT. My friend was playing Aion and I thought it was pretty damn cool. If you want to play AION, you need a lot of perseverance because, you will be ganked by twinks, and leveling is long. BUT, they are releasing patch 1.9 that will drasticly change the game. It is almost considered as an expansion. Everything will be a little cheap ( there are some weapons that sell for 40 millions in the AH ), leveling will be faster, more flight paths, etc. NcSoft learns from his mistakes and they are going to correct everything that was wrong.

I have a lvl 35 Chanter and I have to say it's pretty damn cool. Recently, they added double xp weekends 1 week out of 2. They know leveling is long so they help the players since the next patch is coming out. Yes, there's a lot of grind, but if you like your character, it doesn't matter at all. Getting geared is way more harder than WoW. Well, Aion is better than WoW almost in every aspects. The only reason I stopped Aion was because I was getting addicted as I got addicted to WoW and I couldn't affrod the monthly fees (wanted to keep my money for something else).TBH, Aion is a little bit like WoW, but it is way more harder than WoW which I like... A LOT.

If you have any question about any aspect of the game, feel free to ask:). Aion > WoW. IMO. And trust me, I played WoW a lot...

If you like grind and some pvp, Aion is definitely the game for you. If you don't then stay away from it. They say patch 2.0 will make the grind a bit less tedious with more quests etc., but from the looks of the patch notes that doesn't seem to be the case.
