air cooled cpu low temp

I get 14 C while doing nothing and closing everything
FX 8320
tested it with 2 prog (core temp, CAM from nzxt)
, doesn't seem normal

I heard there're some problems with AMD CPUs that you need them to work heavy for few sec to see their real temp.

Also try using Real Temp, it's a free software.

The only way it can be more accurate is for it to label the temperature sensors correctly. The sensors are the same, the look-up table is the same.

It's like that with all FX CPU's, I have FX-6300 and and its temp sensors report normal values only on load. I use CPUID Hardware Monitor, it shows both core temperatures and "CPU temperature", which is a read from the motherboard based sensor (it's used by motherboard to control CPU fan speed). That CPU temp, or socket temp, shows normal values all the time, for me it's ~30C on idle, and up to 60C on load, depending on OC. Cores show 5-10 degrees lower temperature on load, doesn't really make sense but it's normal. Just make sure the cores don't go much above 50C (62 I think is the red line for cores, 70 for socket).
