I've heard rumors that the PC Version was cancelled. Is it true ?

Like above said, there has always been a PC version in co-development, but was halted about 4 months ago, I dont think they canned it, but as far as IM aware MS refuse to pay for the release on pc, meaning another dev has the honors (atleast thats how I understood it)
If the decision to release Alan Wake rests on Microsofts shoulders then I think we can pretty much rule out any chance of a PC release. You just need to look at Microsofts history to see they are sacrificing PC gaming to push their console. If Alan Wake is a success on the Xbox 360 then you won't see it on the PC, if Alan Wake is a failure on the Xbox 360 then you won't see it on the PC.
The smart course of action is to just accept that for all intents and purposes Alan Wake on the PC has been cancelled.
I don't think that they will make pc versio. Why? cause it should come to windows vista and now they have to make it windows 7 too cause windows vista sucked mostly and people are buying windows 7 and not vista. If they make it it will take much more time and the game comes in long future to pc. So suck to be us but life is like that sometimes.
Just like fable 2: "We are currently not making any plans on pc version, we focus on the xbox version" and know they work on fable 3!! Ask me i think MS will never approve the pc version!!:(I don't think a cancellation is official. But it is official that there will be no pc version at game's first release. I read that they will "wait and see" to release a pc version.

I can see why Microsoft wants to hang on to this one - the Xbox is in desperate need of exclusives with such heavily story-driven titles as Metal Gear Solid 4, Uncharted 2 and Heavy Rain being Ps3-only. Mass Effect is it's only saving grace in this category - but even that is available on the PC.
I personally wouldn't mind it being a 360 exclusive - there are already so many 360 titles availible on the PC it's getting ridiculous - and the 360 needs something besides Gears of War 2 and Halo 3 to make it special.
As a fan of all those ps3 story driven games, i got to say that mass effect is nothing like them!!! Story is pretty much non scripted which kills the point of a story driven game when the player can change the story and control the character interactions!!! Its not the same when Nathan Drake speaks his mind and when you make a dialogue choice in mass effect with a random charcter!!!I can see why Microsoft wants to hang on to this one - the Xbox is in desperate need of exclusives with such heavily story-driven titles as Metal Gear Solid 4, Uncharted 2 and Heavy Rain being Ps3-only. When did I say they were exactly alike? My only point was that they were both story-driven games (a point you don't contest) and both games had many sales for the respective consoles (enough to qualify as mainstream games).

Id say mass effect is roleplaying, mainly character choices driven! The diffirence is that PS users are used in linear story driven games like final fantasy!! But anyway, many choices that alter the game, ruin the story in my opinion!!Probably not before 6 months after the Xbox360 release, after MS are able to squeeze every last stinkin' drop they can from the 360 sales. As of now, I personally don't care if it comes to the PC or not. Microsoft has already made it clear that they don't give a rat's a** about PC gamers.
I'm sick and tired of waiting for the PC versions for months after their console counterparts, then finally getting them after all the hype has died down, only to find out they're just piss-poor ports. From now on, if I'm going to buy a multiplat, it better be released up front or at least within a month from the console release date. Otherwise, they can kiss my money goodbye.
