Aliens Vs Predator worth the 5 bucks on Steam ??

So yea i'm pretty intrigued with the premise and i quite liked the movies and all, never played the original but still since its on sale just wanted to know from folks here is it worth a fiver or just another generic run gun spray pray shooter. I mean is there some story to it or is it just the gore the USP here ?

The game isnt really that good but its worth $5. I would spend the money on AVP2 though or AVP1 especially if you havent played them, they are a lot better games than that new one.

The game is fine, its fun and its well worth $5, I got it for $20 and didn't regret it.

Were the first two games better, yeah FOR THEIR TIME, I would play the new one again before I go back and play those.

The first 2 were great, but if you have already played them, or want something newer and love Aliens, or Predator, then it will be a worth while purchase for $5.

I think the Marine SP campaign alone is worth the 5 bucks.

Didn't have that problem. I got pretty consistant performance all the way through Maxed out in DX11. Usually between 45-60fps. It may have been patched, or drivers could of helped.. Don't know, but it wasn't at all bad for my GTX570, once Nvidia finally put out decent drivers for it.

Of course there were occasional hiccups, but only lasting a few seconds or so.

Just a tad off topic, but is there anywhere I can buy AVP2 digitally?

The monster campaigns are really awesome. The marine campaign is Doom 3 with aliens and not so great weapons. Game looks very good and runs like a charm on DX11. Go buy it.

I really liked it, Perhaps it's because im a big fan of the movies, but i had no complaints.

It's a decent game well worth the $5 if you're interested in it. I played through it on PS3 and thought it was pretty good.

Well thanks to all your inputs i did finally get it, being d/loaded right now. Figured i've wasted a lot more on a lot crappier games this couldnt be that bad :P
