DO you think that this computer is suitable for someone like me? I was just looking over some computers because my desktop is just so bad, it crashes all the time and my friends just tell me to buy a new computer and one of my friends recommended this one to me :

http://www.alienware.com/products/area-51-x58-desktop.aspx?SysCode=PC-A51-X58&SubCode=SKU-DEFAULT

I want :
- Core i7 Processor
- 1 TB storage
- over 6GB DDR3 Memory
- play games like WoW, Dota, CSS, L4D, COD4, and other popular games
- quiet
- not considered overpriced > would cost less than buying the same parts and building it

Is this computer suitable for me and
Do you think that there would be a chance for this computer to lower their prices a tiny bit?

If not, what other desktops are recommended that is similar to this desktop?

Please and thanks (:

Alienware is very expensive, unless you have cash to burn and want extreme quality (Falcon Northwest, MNPCtech) or you just want the most basic of PC's then build it yourself.

1 GTX 285: $330-350 1 6 GB Channel RAM kit: $80 1 Decent Case: $140 1 Core i7: $280 1 1TB HD: $100 1 Quality PSU: $130 1 DVD Burner/drive combo: $25 1 x58 motherboard: $240 Misc: $80 Grand Total with Misc: $1405. Compare that to a similar specced Alienware, and Alienware will charge you many hudnreds more.

$79.99 after rebate, so while it's not set at $80 you can get DDR3 for that price.

not considered overpriced? is this something you made up on your own or your friend told you this? yeah i juse saw those specs and deffinately ARE overpriced compared to what you could get with builduing it yourself. you could get double the ram, double the hard drive storage, tripple the gpu power, better overall performance for that exact same ammount put it this way with alienware a pc that cost you like $700-$1,000 to build they add close to a grand when you buy it from them it costs you close to a grand more

for $1,500 i could build you a pc equivalent to one of their $3,500 models

Sorry =S, i'm not really experienced with building computers and their parts, so i am really puzzled with how much they are worth.

Could you guys give me a list of specific parts i need to build this computer that alienware has?

Good build. I suggest getting a monitor with that build if you don't want to use the one you currently have
