i prefer voodoo as a company since they do make much higher quality products, but if your looking at just specs and you have money to throw away the either will do, the same thing, but then again voodoo laptops just look sweet

voodoo i would have to say just for the looks

Do you think that because he might have sympathy for you typing all that he'll fork out 3000 for a overpriced computer?

I would say wait until you save up around $7000 and then buy a gaming pc. That's what I did and most people will complain and be like it's overpriced but not by that much. Puttingall the parts together is a pain in the @$$ if you plan on custom building it yourself. Also they won't be able to disagree with the fact that it will last you on average 4 years or so. To answer your question about which company it doesn't matter if you go alienware, xps, voodoo, falcon, or w.e i checked them all out and the price ranges is all the same. I would go alienware just because i think they look better. If you do go xps and you want the black case that they advertise make sure you specifically tell them that because i didn't and ended up getting a titanium case.

both of them will performmore or less thesame. i would say alienware is like mercedez and voodoo is like bently. both are luxurious cars and both of them are expensive. It depends on the buyer on what does he spend his money on.

All pre-built from those companies are ripoffs.

Building a computer is easily learnt and done, just take some time to learn. You will save yourself thousands.

agree with last poster, if you're afraid to do it yourself have a friend build one for you. You will save a grand and a half.

Def. a nice rig there. But you can make the same one by yourself for much less. That's essentially my new computer minus the crazy sound card and the physics card and i dropped 4k on it.

Ya i agree. If you're buying a laptop i don't mind spending the cash but for desktops i'd never buy a prebuilt one. 1 it costs way too much and 2 you usually can't get everything you want unless you go for the really expensive places. I also have fun building my own because i know exactly what i used and you're more proud of your setup if you made it yourself

Before I read and investigated a lot of stuff on forums and articles, I thought that buying a pre-built computer was the way to go... it's not. You get overpriced PCs with the usual hype and very successfull marketing ploys and pictures of great looking cases and all sorts of promises.

If you read and investigate and above all, ask in knowledgeable forums you can and you will mount a great PC by ordering in its necessary parts. Unfortunately many people think it's too much work to put it togethers and it's better to spend $1000 or $2000more to have it all mounted up. Or worse, the new $7000 dell system... I just can't figure it out, it's madness people, madness. But if you've got money to fry,go ahead,Im sure they won't mind, thats how all these companies are still on the market.

Niether they are garbage for the price. You can build one with the same components if not better for a fraction of the price.
