[QUOTE="edguybglover"]ehhh he didnt tell me(comp getting given to me in a week) so lets just say it has no motherboard and continue from there lol-CheeseEater-
Well without the motherboard we can't tell if it's even worth upgrading or purchasing.
My guess it's not even worth purchasing since a Geforce 6600 256MB video card is a AGP slot so your better off buying a new computer for $600.

It will run Crysis.
We are trying to talk Australia currency here, it's practically impossible to purchase that has some power behind it for sub 1000...I suggest these things:
Keep the case you have, it will save you a few dollars.
Purchase these from your local IT store:
CPU: Intel Pentium Dual Core E2160 - 1.8GHz $80
Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-945GCM-S2L Motherboard $60
RAM: CORSAIR ValueSelect 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 667 $60
GPU: Galaxy 9600GT 512MB DDR3 $135
Drive: Pioneer 20x SATA 215BK $35
HDD: WESTERN DIGITAL 5000AAKS CAVIAR 500GB $95
PSU: Thermaltake TR2 RX 450W $65
That's one of the best bang for the bucks I can come up with on the spot. We could go cheaper, but you'd be loosing a GREAT deal of performance, especially if you want to be playing the likes of Crysis or CoD4..
may i ask, the comp hes giving me, i wont take but none of the parts from it can be used?
