Hello!

My computer was running somewhat slow and got bluescreens way to often (the past year I've only had bluescreen once or twice) and every single time i was installing a software such as 3ds max, AVG, ati-drivers etc. the computer said that the file was corrupt.. Steam shut down on me frequently aswell... thinking it was a virus i decided to reinstall my windows, I also decided to Nuke the hard drive with Killdisk.

And eventhough I did all of this the problems still remain.. I suspect it could be the hard drive which is corrupt and wont let me install anything. But according to Western Digital LifeGuard Diagnostics software (which i somehow managed to install) my hard drive is suppose to be fine..

Any idea why my computer is like this?

Thanks!

Sounds like it's a RAM issue, if I just had to guess. See if you can run Memtest86+ OR Power down your PC and remove all your RAM, then just install one stick - run the computer for a while and see if you have any problems. If no problem, power off the computer and swap sticks to test another do so until you've tested all sticks. If you have 1 stick of RAM installed and it's bad, the PC shouldn't boot. If that's the case with any of your RAM, you know that that specific stick is bad.

Usually the bluescreen should dump an error code unless it flashes to fast. I've seen ATI drivers wig out so you could try updating them or rolling them back to a stable release. Also run Western Digital's diagnostic tool to do a SMART check on your drive.

Possible it could be all of them, might have to run memtest with each individual stick.
