so since yesterday I got this really weird problem, where every 25 or 30 minutes I'm getting kicked out of the game and back to my desktop, but the game keeps running in the background and I can go back in, kinda like hitting alt-tab....its the same in MP and Spec Ops and I also noticed it when I was watching a movie; it kept going out of full-screen mode every half an hour or so.

Got this since yesterday, a day after I installed MW2...any ideas what might cause this?

sounds like a background process could be doing that...

do you have an instant messenger running or something similar when you are playing it??

Control + alt + delete, bring up the task manager then click the processes tab, make sure there arn't any unknown or suspicious programs/applications running that may be causing this. Have you also tried restarting your PC?

And then look what's running at startup. Goto start / run / type 'msconfig' , click the 'startup' tab. Uncheck anything you don't want / need to run at startup. You might wanna get a free program to make this easier like Glary Utilities.

i know that things like virus or firewall notifications that pop up can do that sometimes. look into if any of that is causing it.
