Am I being neurotic about my CPU temps or should I OC it more?

Last night was my first OC attempt (A gargantuan 27 MHz), just to see if I could do it. My temps usually idle at about 17* C (Not uncommon for it to go down to 15* C), and under load go to about 30* C. How much more should I OC it? At what point should I stop temperature wise? Keep in mind that I am using the stock Intel HSF and keeping my windows open to keep temps down. (My actual glass windows, not the OS; It is 27* F outside right now)

dood quit trippin, im fine with letting mine run around 55c-60c at full load, which it runs only on prime 95, just make sure you have something like prime 95 to test it for stability and you can overclock that all night

So you would reccomend just OC'ing it until it gets around those temps?

well, its not like you want it to get right up to the hottest it should be and then decide that's a good place to stop, but ya, in theory you could overclock it until it got around there, but i wouldn't recommend it, i don't think that's really necessary, you could probably push yours to 3.2~3.4ghz and not have any problems, but that might take a while, so just be careful, i guess what I'm trying to say is, your gonna be happy with how fast your cpu is running at long before you hit 60 degrees Celsius

Anything under 70 at full load in Orthos is fine. Intel recommend 75, so as long as it remains under that it's fine :)
