would really love to see another MMOFPS like planetside. The combination of vehicles both ground and air was great. An fps with large battles that it had plus the smaller skirmishes around you could fins with a group of friends was great fun. I could see a game like planetside but say with a more contemporary setting like battlefield 2 would be awesome. No other fps did what planetside did as far as scale. Seems like no one really wants to try the mmofps again though. Its quite a shame.
I'm with you. Planetside was fun, too bad my comp at the time barely ran the game. There is a game called Huxley on the horizon, but it doesn't look like it's going to have the large scale countryside battles we like.

Battlefield unfortunately doesnt even come close as far as scale goes and vehicles are not integrated as well in BF as they were in planetside. The variety of vehicles in planetside was great.
And as far as huxley goes i read it was gonna be instanced like 64 person stuff which is nothing like planetsides large scale warfare. :( maybe one day well see another planetside type MMO i really hope so it is a nice change from all the high fantasy rpg mmo's.

The only problem I had with Planetside was the lack of accomplishment. You basically picked 2 identical-looking bases and tried to take them back or keep them. Got old fast.
