Am I the only one who hates Call of Duty?

Seriously the game is no fun at all. The only 2 i own are MW and WAW. I sold MW because its just no fun. Such a boring.. plain.. linear game with terrible graphics that doesnt deserve any of this hype I can't even name the so many things wrong with it that people like for some reason i just don't. I get depressed when I play this game and I do not want to hear anybody else talk about it ever again.

Modern Warfare is my 'kill time' game. Waiting for a party? load up MW and get a couple kills in. . .

I have never bought a call of duty game because I'm no fan of the series at all.
The only one that I have planned to get eventually is the first one but I might pick up the 4th if the price decreases sometime. It still full price at a lot stores.

The latest games are dumbed down. You should try the original Call Of Duty with the United Offensive expansion. Much better games, in both single player and multiplayer.

I'd say you have every right to hate whichever game you choose. I DON'T agree with you though when you mention the graphics...One of it's greatest talked about aspects of COD4 were 'how the game could look so good can run so smoothly?' As far as Single Player - I'd give it a 7 for interest level. But teh multi-player aspect is where the real meat is ! So if ur not in to Multiplayer gaming, then I certainly understand why one would discard COD4.

I played it on xbox.. and yes it looks terrible even way worse than halo or gta i dont know why peopel say it looks good. im a graphics whore and i can tell everything thats wrong with graphics in games, this game has some major issues, Im pretty sure the lighting is fake for one thing...

Also if you put it on extreme difficulty the game makes like a barrier for you to slow down even if you are good. Ever do this on WAW? theres at least 500 grenades surrounding your feet and you cant do nothing and its not like crysis or far cry or even half life where you can kind of get out of the way, no u got this small narrow path in the game and all you do is shoot enimies that all act the same..

No it didnt, the original Cod4 was and still really good.

I own and love all CoD games developed by IW except MW2, which i've decided not to get. before MW2, CoD was a fantastic series with exciting SP campaigns and great multiplayer contents.

I hate it now, because they messed up MP in MW2 badly. I actually got MW1 twice. First on the 360, then i got the PC version as well, to get away from the crappy P2P system they use on the 360. Now they have decided I'm not allowed to compete online at all (really, it's horrible with P2P when you live in a small country like Norway, because you live miles away from everyone you play with).

I agree, the game hasn't really made any major improvements since COD2. What makes it even more annoying is the amount of hype and praise it receives when the faults are so bleedingly obvious. I would be less vocal about my hate if people weren't so oblivious to it's many imperfections.

well ..i really liked the first one - cod 1 , fun game, then i played cod 4 - didn´t like it much .. too fast paced , confusing , the gameplay was ..weird.. i don´t know how to describe it.. the respawning guys, linear and scripted gameplay.. the shooting didn´t feel right .. yeah i felt like i wasn´t in control f the game..it was the game who was forcing me to do this.. do that.. defenitly odd. it wasn´t bad ..just average .. overrated like hell ? sure . there are far better shooters out there.. it is a tad annoying that this series gets such praise ..

I got a copy of WaW with my video card and never installed the game.. so there you go.

While I hate mw2 I hate posts like this... I mean yes out of the 6 billion people on this planet you are the only one who hates call of duty in general. You my man are by far a very unique person.blade55555

ok , you hate MW2 , thats what posts are for.. voice your opinion. even if i was the only one on the planet who hated the series i dont mind saying so... if people love the game and want to run around shooting people, go for it ( thats what Halo was made for ) but if you respect tactical FPS's for PC, then you demand more then run'n and gun'n ... agree?

Halo fanboys are far worse, and Call of Duty (original)/ United Offensive is much better than Halo.
