am i wasting my graphics card?>

ok, so basically my pc is pretty new, ie 8800gts 320 , with e6600 and 2 gig corsairxms2 ram, but i'm only pumpin it thru a 17 inch monitor on 1280 by768 wide screen,,

now i dont particularly want to spend more money on a new monitor if the improvement isnt that noticable,,

but say if i get a 19 inch monitor with 1600 rez, will the difference be worth the money???

I would say definately get a new monitor, espicially with the stup you have.

I used to have a 17" monitor and then jumped to a 19" @ a higher resolution. It wasn't so much the increased resolution that i noticed, but the increase in monitor size certainly makes games much more fun.

ok cool, well obviously i know that there will be visual differences. but what i really wanted to find out was , are there any of you out there that had post buyers remorse?? like after u purchased a bigger screen, took it hope and thought the upgrade in visual quality wasnt worth the money i paid for on that monitor??

i guess its a hard question to answer as the value of visual quality is dependant on the individual,,, but yeah anyways thansk for the responses,,

also,, another question,,

would it be wiser to get a 17 crt monitor?? rather then an lcd one????

i know its bigger but are the images more clearer??
