AM2+ motherboard with SLi?

Nope, no AM2+ boards currently support SLi.

I'd suggest forgetting about SLi and going with the Asus M3A.

Or if you absolutely must SLi, I'd suggest an Asus nForce 590 SLi board.. as they do support Phenom processors with a BIOS update.

EDIT: Wow, those boards are damn expensive. I might as well get an Intel board and a cheap Dual Core for that price.

Don't think they are affected at all even with the lack of HT3.0 support on the boards.

Yeah, nForce 590 boards are quite expensive.. they are basically the AM2 equivalent of 680i board though.. so the price isn't too surprising.

It's okay; not the best or worst. 650i supports 8x/8x SLi and I think they should support dual-core Wolfsdale with a BIOS update, though I'm not certain.

I'd suggest the 750i chipset. Supports Wolfsdale and Yorksfield processors and supports 8x/8x SLi (they are PCI-e 2.0 slots though, so you're getting the same bandwidth as a motherboard with normal x16/x16 PCI-e 1.0/1.1 slots).

No it wouldn't be. nVidia just simply hasn't released a chipset that supports SLi for AM2+ boards yet.

AM2+ chipsets support the new spider platform, it would be pointless for nvidia to release a chipset for AM2+ boards right now when the spider platform receives greater gains on performance.

Hardly pointless. Profits are everything. Who gives a crap about the Spider platform? Hardly anyone goes for it considering the Phenom X4s are disappointing compared to Intel's quad-cores.

Anyways, nVidia should release 750a and 780a AM2+ boards with SLi support sometime this year.. I'm guessing during Q2.

I recently found that MSI has released what appears to be a motherboard that supports both AM2+ and SLI. It's called K9N SLI-F V.2 and can be found here:

I was under the impression that AM2+ processors were compatible with the previous AM2 socket based motherboards.
