here we go again. i work all day using a mouse and keyboard, for gaming i just seem to prefer a gamepad, even for fps games. i barely play online multiplayer and i don't game competatively. although ign said the console versions (gamepads gamepaly) is limited to hotkeys, so i may suck it up and use the keboard and mouse.

Hahahahaha. I can't believe that's exactly where this thread went.

But dude, yes, it will definitely support a 360 controller, right out of the box. Plug it in, and it will give the 360 version control scheme. The other bioshock games did, and it was actually mentioned in the big reveal of the PC version specs a while back. Don't worry about it.

And for future reference, like 99% of multiplat games have native 360 controller support for the PC versions these days. I can't remember the last one that didn't. I guess Mass Effect 1 didn't, but it was already a rare exception by then.

i recall no gampad support in bioshock 2 on pc, it ws the ONLY time I actually returned the pc game to the store and exchanged it for the ps3 version to have gamepad support.

I have no regrets prepurchasing from Green Man Gaming.

Thanks to the $15 voucher and the 20% off discount I got Tomb Raider 2013 for $25.

i have barely touched consoles in the past few years. so my preference to not use something like xpadder and get a pc version of game to use a gamepad makes me daft? how does that even make sense? yes i know the graphics are better on pc but I wanted to use a gamepad plain and simple and switching plasmids with the gamepad on pc with xpadder sucked. there was also a game breaking audio glitch on my pc versioni of bioshock 2 and i was furious so i took chance with the ps3 version.  i guess you are just a miserable troll who would rather post useless nonsense than to actually help people out.

Or you could have just... oh, I don't know... used another input device available to the system and preferable for the genre of game you were playing.

Thats what I said...but whatever... next thing you know he's gonna come back and make a topic about how the PC version sucks...it has graphic glitches, console version is much better, etc...

I'm a PC gamer, and there are some shooters that I simply just play with a gamepad. I don't see why people think using a gamepad is a negative.

I play pc & consoles & I prefer to use a gamepad also. I agree with the op that bioshock 2 had no gp support. I'm really hoping infinite does or it's a no go for me on pc.

Yes it supports controllers...and to any of you people who have a problem with other people wanting to use them... go f yourself and mind you own business. It doesn't concern you, but yet you still must spout your elitest crap in any post asking about controllers. Use your kb/m, no one is stopping you and don't worry about what other people use.

Of course it will have gamepad support. I would be surprised if it didn't. But I disagree, mouse and keyboard is always better for first-person shooters if you really want to mention this among PC gamers, and you being a PC gamer yourself. That's just... i'll leave it alone. Now! If this was a third-person shooter, I would be all for it.

I don't know about OP, but my gaming PC is connected to my 50" HDTV because gaming is only a fraction of what I use that media system for. I too prefer to use a gamepad for playing games on my PC as it's the most comfortable solution for me while sitting on a couch. I don't doubt that keyboard/mouse is more accurate, but I have no issues with a gamepad and much prefer the big-screen and surround system in my living room for playing games. Plus my living-room is far more comfortable than an office/dungeon. I hope that Infinite comes with xbox 360 controller support (I am using a PS3 controller (wireless) that emulates the 360 one. Most games do nowadays, but for the rare exceptions (ex: Mass Effect 3) I've been able to use Pinnacle Game Profiler to add support. Edit: Here is irrational's post confirming that the game does in fact support gamepads... yay http://irrationalgames.com/insider/pc-specifications-for-bioshock-infinite-announced/

Nice, good to hear, more options the better.

If im not mistaken Bioshock1 and 2 didn't have native controller support, nice to see this one does.
