My computer is 2 years old. I have a AMD 939 1.8 ghz processor, !gb Ram, not overclocked, and a 8500 GT, it can run Bioshock on all high settings, at 30fps.

I'm really amazed.

Probably, I have a 7600GS overclocked to 7600gt speeds and it's over 2x better then the 8500gt (and an AMD X2 4800, 2G DDR2 800MHz RAM) (http://www23.tomshardware.com/graphics_2007.html?modelx=33&model1=716&model2=856&chart=275) and @1024x786 fully maxed my FPS can dip down to 15-20 in some places.

I was too. 2k really did an awesome job on this game. I've noticed that about the games coming out also. You don't need a SUPER COMPUTER to run them anymore because they're optimizing games for older computer specs now (but at the same time, making the game look next-gen).

I doubt it. Bioshock is set in corridors without foliage, where in crysis you could be looking at hundreds of breakable twigs, all moving, grass, huge view scale distance.

?? Running in DX10 mode will make it run a lot worse than if in DX9 mode.
