I am looking to run either 2 7850's or 2 7870's in crossfire would 8 gb of ddr3 1600 ram be enough

RAM has nothing to do with running multiple cards.

What model 500w do you have?
If it is a quality PSU it can run those cards in CF.

it's a cooler master silent psu not even 80 plus
