AMD or Intel!?!?! WOAH-MY-GOD again!

AMD x2 vs Intel Core 2 duo. Both running the same MHZ.

Well the thing is, you can't really compare them clock speeds to clock speeds. Obviously the intel would win, but that's not how theyre priced. A Core 2 Duo e6320 costs $165 (1.86GHz) where the closest AMD clock on an X2 is the AMD X2 3600+ at $62 (1.9GHz).

Obviously, the Core 2 Duo is faster at the same clocks, but costs way more. The battles of theprices seem to be inAMD's favor right now,where an AMD X2 6000+ costs $170 (3.0GHz). ($5 more than the e6320)

At the same price AMD is better.

I can't because AMD processors are a much better deal. To perform equally the price would not match, to be priced equally the performance would not match. It's simply impossible...but that's kind of the whole point of this discussion is that the chips are very different and it's hard to pick a "winner."

If you're going for a high end CPU (such as quad core or 3GHz dual core), go Intel. If you're going for a more a mainstream CPU, go AMD.

It all depends on how much you're willing to spend.

But that isn't true. The e6600 is about .05% to 1% faster than the X2 5600+. The e6600 costs nearly $100 more than the 5600.

The e6300 costs about $15 MORE than the X2 5600+ and look at the benchmarks...

Buddy, E6600 time is over now, now you can buy a E6750 c& it is heaper than E6600

nice benchmarks btw, but ill take the price point at 120 pounds. for that you get an AMD X2 5600 on the intel you get a core 2 duo E6750.yoyo462001
