Intel pumps out processors that are of latest technology & AMD basically takes the blueprint of those processors & improves upon it. It's like buying a Porsche which is almost perfect in automotive standards but having RUF making it a million times better. envybianchi
Wrong, AMD Phenom processors are true Quad-cores, Intel's are limited by the North-Bridge. Intel is just implementing that in the next line of processors.
That being said, while the AMD's are more advance they still do not perform as well as the Intel. a Q6600 performs better than a 9850 Phenom, so the Q9300 should be quite better than the 9950 X4
But I'm sure the next line of AMD are going to be even better than Intel

Better than the current Intels, sure. I've little faith AMD will step their game up enough to beat Nehalem with their next lineup. I'd like to see it happen, but I don't think it will.
