Asus M2N-SLi Deluxe.

Best motherboard I've ever owned, lots of features in the BIOS especially for overclocking, lots of features for the motherboard itself.. hell it's like a high-end motherboard but SLi is only 8x/8x. I'd suggest going with an AM2 nForce 590 motherboard if you plan on doing SLi with the 8800s.

If you don't need SLi, the Biostar TForce 560 A2+ is a fine choice.

I'd avoid the Asus M2N, M2N-E, and M2N-E SLi. All poor quality motherboards and max RAM voltage is a pitiful 1.95Vs.

The P5N-E SLi is a Socket LGA775 motherboard, not an AM2 motherboard.

The Asus M2N-MX SE. It's A good beginner motherboard, but if you want the UBERness, get this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131013 Now that's one good motherboard right there.

ASUS M2N32-SLI Deluxe. I'm glad I spent the extra money to pick up a board that runs both PCI-E slots at x16 in SLI, especially now that it's hooked up to my 40" 1080p HDTV. :D I'm still very happy with this computer despite what's out there now more than a year after I built it. We'll see what happens when I pick up some new games.

The only drawback I've found so far is the sometimes glitchy behavior of the onboard sound, regardless of which drivers I use. But I'm usually using my USB sound for headphones anyway.

Sounds good, but what if you want to SLI? And this may be unfounded, but it looks awful toy-ish (Ick...bright red).

Uhh.. or you could get the Biostar TForce 560 A2+, which will take AM2+ processors without a problem (BIOS update?)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138081

Same exact price too..

To disable onboard video, you can do it in the BIOS or through device manager.

To get to device manager, right click My Computer, go to the Hardware tab, Device Manger.

Then you disable the integrated graphics, do not uninstall them.

When I was gearing up to buy an AM2-based system (back when I thought my "new PC money" would have arrived sooner), I wouldn't have considered anything other than DFI's LanParty motherboards. The excellent performance and the world-record overclocks that get achieved with them, along with the kind of stability once you have a set of RAM(and timings) and CPU that the board likes, makes it nigh unstoppable. The sheer number of tweaking options in DFI BIOSes since Oskar Wu signed on to the company, along with the increased manufacturing and creative control they've granted him to move away from Abit, have gone on to make some fantastic motherboards. They may be picky about what kind of RAM they "like", but you'd be hard-pressed to not love a DFI when paired up with quality RAM. I'd only wished I could have scored a Prometeia cooler for my Socket A xp chip, if only to eliminate heat as a barrier to my O/C's, because when I was o/c'ing, it seemed the only thing that kept consistently holding me back at first was the heat. :(

ECS AMD690GM-M2. Minimal overclocking features, 2GB RAM max, SATA 3.0Gbps, PCI-express, best onboard video available. I'm content with it.
