Now I find the release of 1080Ti to be more fit in time.
The new Vega GPU will be sold around 500$, features 8Gb HBM2.
Sounds like AMD is back to the game fighting 2 giants right now (Nvidia and Intel)
VEGA should really be on par with 1080Ti...
Doesn't have to, they can just make it compete with the 1070/1080 and price aggressively.
@AlexKidd5000: out of curiosity , how is 1700 X treating you ? can you please share some of your experience .
about the topic , I hope AMD will pull it off with their top gear graphic card .

It performs amazingly well, much faster than I could have imagined. Compared to my old FX-8320, EVERYTHING feels faster, even just surfing the web. Games perform better obviously. And it runs vert very cool, especially considering I'm using a low profile cooler https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIAADY5BC4478 now I am not an OCer, thus why I used this cooler. But the temps are around 40c idle, and around 50c during load. Most issues I have experienced have been Mobo related (which may get fixed with firmware updates).
