Came across dis game in CEX, (I know wtf?) for £3, AC and both stand alone expansion fight back and divided nations.

And i found em impssible, on all of em I srtuggled to get by the first missions in campaigns and cant ever get by 2nd missions? And in dem set up battles i send my riflemen in close to get a good number ofkills bfore they can reload and there cannon fires and LITERALLY takes out the whole group of em wich can be like 50 - 100 men, wtf? its called grapeshot, messes up whole armies, including your own, your there with all your boys line up and they get close then all your boys drop dead and your like wtf then realise your own cannon just killed em all without any orders to fire into mob with freindly unitAnd in skirmishes they prep huge armies in minutes then run up in your buildings and blow em up.

So i just need some tactics and some help on playing the game and the battles man pleease!

It's been forever since I played that game. But I do remember it being pretty harsh. Try lowering the difficulty or just use cheats if you have to :P

American Conquest and Cossacks is always about having a huge army constantly building.

Always have several hundred units queued up for building when possible.

You have to expand your economy really fast at the start, then start sending battallions out there.

American Conquest is the first game I fell in love with. I stayed up til the wee hours of the morning on countless occasions playing, vs AI. I was even able to be a formidable competitor at the online matches as well.

The key to success is resources. Don't run out of any of your resources, or you are sure to lose. Always fave at least 2 farms with plenty of peasants harvesting. Always have 2 or more dwelling creating peasants. Use the infinite creation mode(ctrl + left click), and set your rally points to make your peasants go directly into your forts/fortresses. Create formations of musketeers and fusileers, formations are much better at fighting. Upgrade your mines too. And be sure to purchase upgrades for soldiers and from the Town Hall whenever resources allow.

I love this game!

Oh and one more thing, if you are using Vista/7, you will need to install the (color fix) wich terminates explorer.exe (as well as the Aero theme) which will allow the game to run correctly without the rainbow color affect. You can download the fix here:
