So, I've decided that I'll buy a 2900Pro and sell my 2600XT to a friend. I've got a Xclio Stablepower 460W, which has 34A on both rails in total. I've heard of one guy using a 2900XT with it, but apparently the 2900Pro uses more power. My question is, how much more?

Thanks, but I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the 2900Pro. Your sig says you've got a 2900XT.

if anything the 2900pro would use less power than the xt since it's running at a lower speed

Yeah that PSU should work just fine. Mines a 600watt Cooler Master with like 35amps on both 12v rails I believe and I'm positive that it's enough for one.

Recommended is 36amps.... which concludes to most PCs these days(having 2 or more HDD, 2 optical drives, 3-4 USB devices plug in, etc.).

You can squeeze in the HD2900Pro with just 30a however. More less if you only have one HDD and one optical drive running.
