Hi

Does anybody know of a utility called "Turbo" that controls CPU speed, is it available for Core2 - XP Pro systems? I read about it in relation to the Blade Runner Game, but I get dead links and find other programs that aren't what I want.

I found it and it works for Blade Runner.

I've never heard of a game that runs worse, the faster the CPU is.

Running something in the background might help

My old Athlon 64 x2 5600+ had issues with timing. Would cause games to run like they were in fast forward or sometimes go really, really slow (super slow motion). AMD has a patch out there for the issue on the Athlon 64 X2 processors that resolved the problem.

Not sure about core2 CPUs though.

Some old games have issues with fast, modern CPUs causing them to run either very fast or very slow depending on the particular game.I've had this problem on my old pentium 4 PC once ,it has nothing to do with Intel or AMD.

Happened with my E6600 before this, can't remember the game, but I ended up not playing it.
