I'm looking for something that doesn't require too much effort to progress, as I wouldn't spend too much time playing it (I want sth to play beside all the single-player games)... It also shouldn't have too complicated game elements (to be honest, I find all the bonus stats, gems and enchants on equipment from WoW kinda puzzling) and relatively simple pvp/pve mechanics (again, all the spell combos for the highest damage from WoW is really sth I'm not looking for). And finally, it should not be a WoW rip-off (Allods kind of thing or whatever). I've just recently quit Conquer Online from TQ, after 6 years, but I have to say that it was one of the best MMOs I've ever played. I thought about returning to Runescape but I gave up on that idea and now I'm considering Eudemons online, once again from TQ but before I start to play it, I thought I may ask here for some recommendations.

how about an online rpg.. guidlwars is very mmo like for an online rpg, no monthly fee 9though you ened to buy the game itself)

stats and skills are easy to master, weapons have fixed limits and such..there is no half baked bit to this game

though the emta game si pretty elitist and stuff like diablo grade weapon/aromr customization exists its again very simple..

The only game that kind of fits in to what you described is Guild Wars. Its a great game, good graphics, relatively simple. Also it doesnt have a monthly fee. Also, you mention that you want to play runescape. That game has to require the most time in order to do anything.

GW is great, although i think the quality of the game has gone down, you may like Starwars Galaxies its much more accessable now.

If you don't consider WoW to be easy you won't think GW is either, or any MMO for that matter. Hard to get any easier than WoW.

ill echo GUILD WARS.

i dont always have a ton of time so guild wars is perfect. you dont have to dedicate all your time to it.

plus with guild wars 2 coming out in the future sometime you can brush up on its lore and possibly earn some exclusive items in teh HOM.

I was just playing Rift, trial. Pretty easy to get into... but I don't think any MMO is "easy" per se... because they all take a lot of time and effort to get things done.

Guild Wars isn't an MMO btw TC. So be aware of that.

I played Lord of the Rings Online until level 30 and it was very easy with a hunter. Then I had to buy quest packs to advance so I stopped. But it was easy to solo and can't beat free. :)

You could try DC Universe Online. There's a monthly fee, but it only took me about two weeks of very lax play to hit the level cap(it's only 30), and it's not that complicated of a game.

I don't feel like starting a new topic for this so I'm just gonna send it here... As I can't get my hands on Guild Wars just yet, is there something else you'd recommend ? It should be free and basically I'm looking for something where leveling is quite fast. Also, I'd rather spend a minute or two killing one mob and having to kill like 30 to level up than having to kill 1000 mobs to do so... Any suggestions ?

Champions online comes to mind. Also check out mmo hut they've got a pretty good list of free to play mmo's and give insight on them.

Most major MMOs have private servers that alter xp and drop rates. They are not always stable, but some are worth looking into if u dont have the time or don't feel like playing retail. They are free to play too, so it's a great way to get to learn the game before going to retail.
