Hi,

I'm looking at getting Anno 1701 because of the balance of economic challenges, fun, military adventures and its reasonably decent graphics.  But when I downloaded the demo, not a single person was playing online!  Is the same true with the full version?  I don't think it'd be worth the money to play against computers the entire time.

 Thanks : )

The game is definately worth the money for single player. I for one am extremely pleased with this game, though I would never play it multiplayer.

Not sure about others, however. It may not have shown other games becase yo were on the demo?

Yeah, I was on the demo - but you're supposed to be able to play multiplayer.  The fact that no one was playing demo multipalyer makes me think that the multiplayer base is pretty small.

Even though you don't play multiplayer, are there ever people on there?

Yes, my concern game from the GS review and that comment that you quoted.

The demo is really incredible.  It is tons of fun to manage a Carribean colony.
