Where does the 1934 cord plug into? The only place it fits is in the USB ports.

That's for the front panel firewire port.WDT-BlackKat
I didn't even know what firewire was until i got most of this stuff in today and its overwhelming me haha. Im reading how some things need to buy an adapter and such? I dont think my mobo manual has anything about a firewire port.
What motherboard is it? If it's not ancient it likely has a hookup for the firewire port. There should be a page in the manual showing a picture of the board and what plug is for what (USB1, USB2, 1934, AC97, etc.)
If not that's probably ok too. I've only used the firewire at work for mass hard drive copying, never at home where the speed of a USB connection for external drives suffices.
I looked at the manual and didn't see anything on the diagram for a firewire connection. So just remember that the front panel firewire port is not to be used and tuck away the wire for it.
Like I said, you likely won't miss it.
says "also can be connected with internal usb devices, like USB card reader. Is that saying i can plug the 1934 into usb 2 or 3? idk..Snow2Day
They're referring probably to things such as this that also has a firewire port on it.
Ok cool thanks, just so i know, whats that cord used for anyways?Snow2Day
It works like USB to connect to external drives, but at a higher transfer rate due to more connecting, parallel wires.
