My vote goes to the Antec P180B, but that is more due to preference rather than any particular technical merit of either case. Simply, while the Antec 900 would have a lot of airflow due to its cheese-grater design for the exterior, those bright blue LED fans would keep me up at night. Now, I prefer having/making a machine that has that unassuming look... like it could hide in plain sight rather than stand out, only for it to be a beast of a machine inside. ;) All that visual fluff doesn't add any extra performance, no matter how much the guys driving cars with altezza lights and twenty pounds of vynil stickers/decals will say otherwise.codezer0You can always take the LED fans out and put in something else.
Yeah I have heard the P180B is a bit more silent but to me sound issues will not be a problem. It's a matter of what case will provide the most room, cooling, and flexibility.Ichalabon
The P180B (or P182) will provide you with more room, as it's slightly bigger. Cooling is probably going to go to the Nine Hundred. Flexibility...I don't know what you mean here. I'm assuming you don't mean a case you can crumple in your fist, maybe you mean for modding or upgrading purposes? The P180 looks to have much more going for it in the way of modding, given its more solid design, but both will offer pretty much identical upgradability.
You can always take the LED fans out and put in something else. WhiteSnake5000Don't care. There is always some kind of LED activity going on, even if indirectly. Not to mention going that route just adds to the cost of the case itself, when there's another that is perfectly fine and wouldn't have that problem.
I bought the 182 because of a few reasons.
I could be wrong, but it looks to me like the air flow in the 182 is a lot better for cooling. It draws air directly in from the front and moves it directly out the back (I know there's a fan on top, but it's still at the back). The one-way flow keeps fresh air coming in steady, while the 900 has holes all over the place where air can come and go.
The seperate power supply chamber in the 182 seems like a good idea, too.
I've never used the 900, so my opinion is based only on what I've read about it.

I payed $70 for my Raidmax Katana, and with a few extra fans it does just as good as my friends Antec 900. Yes, it has leds too, OMG. But I love LEDs.

With the computer on at night, those bright-assed lights would keep me up when I'm trying to get to bed.
I have the 180 and it rocks. HAve the stock fans on high and I barely hear it. It cools great.
Side question.... anyone know where I can get more of those longer screws the ones that are the size of the rubber things that you use to screw the harddrives in. (about the size of nickle or so wide and a cm or so deeper).
Thanks
Oh while I figure the hardware store is an obvious answer, I check the antec spare parts page and didnt see screws or case screws on there. Should I check with customer support to see if they can just send me a dozen for 5 - 10 bucks or so.
