So I got this annoying virus today and it really bugged the crap out of me. I followed the steps to delete it off the internet. But still it doesnt work and the virus is still there. But I noticed somethings. The Virus is only active on my Account(Computer Account) My moms, dads, and sisters have now presence of the Virus. So I deleted my account and made a new one. Im just wondering, can I virus be a certain account? Or is it all over my computer. Because my new account is working fine. I just dont want to ignore the virus when its still here.

Your meant to disconnect from the net whilst doing it, so it can't just re-download itself.

This really doesn't sound good ... If its that badly infected, and there is no way to get into safe mode or any way to run Combofix or Malwarebytes ... A reformat (while i am usually the one on YA saying that's a last resort ...) may be the way to go.

Sorry to give you bad news

i actually did get into safemode. The only thing this virus does is pretend to be a anti virus and says that you should purchase it to get rid of "Any" Virus. And it keeps on popping up saying Virus everytime. Thats all it does.

it's usually installed into a given user's profile directory inside application data/temp or /appdata, so it does make sense it wouldn't appear under somebody else's.

No to all.

Avast anti-virus had an ISO that you could burn to a CD and boot from to scan your system. I just visited their site and I can't find it anywhere though, and the link to that particular product no longer works. It's on Google, search for "avast boot pe" and click the wordpress link at the bottom. At the bottom of the article is the link to download the ISO. I just tested the link and downloaded it, so it works.

You'll also need the latest Avast anti-virus definitions, so download them from the link below and place the definitions on the root of the C drive so that you can find them easier when telling Avast what definitions to use. You'll also need to create a folder on the root of the C drive for avast to store temporary files as it's scanning. Call it anything, but it needs to be there because it'll ask you for it also.
