i just downloaded avira antivirus.. its running great, but i still have my expired copy of norton 360. will this cause any confilcts? if so what can i do aboout it? can i avira and tredn micro running at the same time?

If it's expired, and you're not planning on renewing, I would recommend removing it. It can be a bit of a hog, and it has been known to conflict with other anti-vorus programs.

To remove it, btw, run Add-Remove, remove it there, then hit the Symantec site and DL the Norton Removal tool to clean up the remnants it leaves behind. They can still conflict with other programs (SpySweeper comes to mind)
