Any benefit or reason to plug my 7600GS into the power supply?

Would there be any benefit to doing this? It's an 7600GS AGP, any idea if this is usefull? Sorry I'm a newb!

yep....most of the time if you dont plug it in it either will not work at all or will greatly underclock itself....it needs the extra power to run at full specs..it cant draw enough through the AGP slot...hence the extra power connector

Pretty much, if it's there, it is because the bus itself cannot supply enough power to the card to keep it running.

While I was still using the 9800 Pro, it would refuse to let me even into POST test until it was satisfied the power lead was in... and sometimes not even then.Â
