I totally agree with you, simply the best RPG of the year so far, doubt HGL can beat it.

I haven't made my mind up yet. I went in and pre-ordered The Witcher last Friday, saw Hellgate: London and just thought "meh".

I'll have to wait on a few reviews; GS and a few other sites, as well as user opinion, before making up my mind. I'd had my mind set on buying it before the demo, which put me off it a little, but there's still hope.

And if you are wrong, and the game recieves both reviewer and customer satisfaction what then delirin? Not "OMG best thing since sliced bread" but just positive feedback and the game does well, what will you say then?

Will you admit your rediculous and immature crusade against the game was wrong and silly, or will you fall back on "all those people and reviewers are just stupid"?

Arriving today!! After much time on the beta... even with thetypical betabugs and memory leak; this game absolutelyrocks. It will keep me busy and happy for quite some time. Even after the character wipe I can't wait to start my next level 1.

OR; more likely they actually PLAYED it and the decision wasn't based on the fact that the monthly fee is 50% of your allowance.

I've been a gamespot subscriber for YEARS, and post when I see a topic that interests me. You are in virtually EVERY HG:L thread I've seen bud, and don't need to defend my posting. As to calling me immature... pot, kettle anyone? I hold interest in this topic... because the sub fee is ridiculus, hence, I will post when I feel like it ;)

The game sucks, and I'm going to say so as long as I'm a member here ;) .

I just said The Witcher would review better then HG:L, I think that right there shows I am not a fanboy. A Fanboy defends a game and pretends its the best thing since sliced bread. I neither make ANY claims of the sort, and recognize when I see BETTER games out there.

You on the otherhand, have been hanging out in the HG:L forum for MONTHS. Remember, this is a game you supposedly think is garbage. What is your motivation for this? Yup, its OBVIOUS, you are a troll on a crusade. You have been on this crusade before the BETA WAS EVEN OUT!

ROFL...I just skimmed his profile. On the FIRST FIVE PAGES (out of 13)of his posting history, 59 of his posts were bashing HG:L :P

Thanks, everyone for responding to my OP. Since I started it I will sound off.

Yes, I have pre-ordered the game, UPS just deliveried the box as I type this. I was in the beta and played it for 3 weeks. Just a run down as to why I think the game is worth the money. I will be subscribing also.

Single player will be updated with the subs content at a delayed rate. With a single player I can play even if the servers are down. NICE.

Subs pay for the on going content. I don't care about the feature set that you get or don't get with your sub. I want ongoing content. If after 6 months I don't feel the sub is worth it I will cancel. This is a new buisiness model I want to show my support for it. Ten dollars a month is less then I spend on energy drinks in a weekend so....

The community that is developing, if the beta is an example, is a great group of people. Since the game is M for mature there seems to be a more mature group of peeps. There were a few annoying people but overall great fun...

I love the pick up and play aspect of the game. The seperate loot drops for party members, the fact that you can solo the game without a party, the ability to break items down which cuts down on the trips back to town....stuff like that. It's hard to put in words but the game really supports both those people that like to group up and those that don't. I happen to like both when the mood strikes...so this is a huge draw for me.

The feedback from the devs and the feeling that as players we have a say about how this game turns out. During the beta the feedback from the devs was timely and made it feel like we beta tester were a part of something. I hope that this continues when the game goes retail.

The humor in the game. This game doesn't take itself too seriously. I love that. IT'S A GAME.

I can't stress the ongoing content and the potential that this has. Imagine if Farcry had ongoing development. I am so exciting to see this in action. People are complaing about the skills or the balancing but what they don't realize is this game, if the business model works, will have ONGOING development. Not a expansion in 6 months but ongoing....I don't know how to explain any better.

Not a fanboy....if it flops then so be it but if it succeeds, well I want to be there for that.

I was in beta for approx 2 - 3 weeks also. My pre-order for the Collector's edition is on the truck should be here soon, tracking shows it out for delivery.

I agree I think the game will be great, I was having alot of fun playing the beta, especially the hunter class.

I also plan on buying the founders offer, $150 1 time subscription fee.
