Does anyone knoe any free MMORPG along the lines of WoW and the new Warhammer game, I know they were trying to fase out paying monthly but that just seemed to turn into buying playtime on cards.

Are there any that you can just buy and play with no other payments?

There are a number of good sites that deal with all the info you could want on any of the major MMO's. Good place to start would be http://www.mmorpg.com/ and look at the game list. There can be some strong language there, but all in all its a good place to start. Also, many MMO's are totaly free. Some make money through ingame adverts, others have a "micro pay" system that lets you pay small ammounts for in game "stuff", while still others (like charrr1234 mentioned Guild Wars) only require you to buy the game and play online for free as long as you want. Hope some of that info helps.

Nothing that really comes close to WoW or WAR though really. If you're looking for an MMO like that, not going to find it, as just about every single free MMO follows the Korean MMO format.
