So last year I found a game called Urban Terror on the net for free. So I downloaded it and played a little bit of it. I took it to school the next day and in 1 month over 200 kids had it. It was epic fun creating a lan server and versing of against my friends but the school soon blocked it. Now that assignments are done and me and my friends have spare time, I thought I would try to find another similar game. It can't be TF2 ect cause they require steam, Quake live won't install on the school PC's and even bringing the files from my PC still doesn't work. So we need something free that would work in the school systems. I'm Aussie and the security isn't high but they do block alot of ways to do things. So please link me to some good F2P games (preferably no cash shop at all, just F2P like urban terror not F2P like Battlefeild heroes which has a cash shop) Thanks!

fraid im not gonna tell you how to violate a schools no gaming on school pc's policies or for that matter where to find the games.. i used to work in a school for about 3-4 months as an IT and i burned alot of kids trying that stunt.. i also got a 13yr old expelled for attempting to hack teh network so he could f with teachers programs and files via a hexidecimal degeneration device off a usb he probably pulled of utorrent cause it in itself was a virus and crippled a pc for 5 days..

i assure you what your doing is something id burn you for anyday..

I'm not trying any 'stunt'. We have finished our assignment in class and need a game to play for the next two weeks. We want something like Urban Terror for the very reason that we don't have to hack anything. We just plug and play.

If you don't mind old stuff, just play some good old-fashioned fragging with the demo version of the original Unreal Tournament which comes with 4 maps. Just buy a cheap router and play in your own LAN.

Does the halo demo have multiplayer? Also does the unreal demo have multiplayer?

Also, any CoD esque games? My friends play Cod alot so they want a CoD style game.

Warsow is free, you could probably get it to work off of a flash drive.

The Halo CE demo also has multiplayer and I think you could create a LAN with it.

Congratulations on picking on a kid for something trivial and possibly ruining his entire future. God forbid you might actually take someone obviously technologically literate under your wing and actually teach him with your IT background, which is after all the entire purpose of school education.

An IT person at a school isnt going to have interaction with students, and it would be inappropriate to do so. He would get in trouble with his boss and probably the kids parents. The IT person is there to work on the computers and networks. Not to educate and take kids under his wing.

ive delt with the fallout of these sorts of situation and its not fun to deal with i spent weeks chasing out silly tank based worms like game (forget its name) in a bogus form which shut down good numbers of our computers or taking them offline for an extended period.

im not saying its not your right to have fun at school and im not chasing after a minor for breaking his schools rules n regulations and wanting to make his own fun but im saying that hes going about it wrong and as a result i object to any attempts to give TC advice. why encourage the violation of networks or school rules in any form? parents dont encourage their kids to bully and provide them with brass knuckles to collect lunch monies with so why tell them how to make their network technicians life difficult because "teh internet is free & lawless". internet and intranet are two different things and as a result of my past experiences object to this thread entirely and imho believe an admin should close it for encouraging network compromisation which is basically offline hacking

@ionusX I completely agree. I hate kids and people with that "Devil may care" attitude, who refuse to stop and think about the consequences of their actions. Yeah, you may have fun with it, but its a rule. So don't. Make you own LAN, its not that damn hard.
