Id like to know what headsets you guys game on and are good... I just got the turtle beach px21's today and im probably gonna return them because they have this annoying faint hiss in the background, can anyone please help recommend a good headset that they are using or know of a good one? :)

and I game on pc/xbox/ps3 thats why I got these because the chat works for each one.. Im looking for one around the 100 dollar price range and really need help because these suck! :/

I personally have AX Pro Tritton headphones that retailed at $170, they're fantastic. Since you're range is a little less, try out the Tritton Triax-720 AX brand. They're not as good as the Pro model because the Dolby surround is simulated instead of real, but the fit is really comfortable with swappable earmuffs if you prefer leather to cloth. They retail at around $130.

Get a pair of refurbished Sennheiser HD555s, a Rolls Pro amp, and a Zalman clip-on mic. All found on amazon.

I'd tell you in-depth why GAMING headsets suck big time and are vastly inferior to a pair of headphones from a reputable company, but its been explained so many times here that you can just go to any other thread about headphones and get the exact same answer.

This. Honestly, I'm too lazy and tired to go on about how gaming headsets suck too. Take it from me. I've owned and used a gaming headset and I am now a happy owner of stereo headphones. I could never go back to gaming headsets.

That's what I did.

Paid $55 shipped, did the foam mod, got a small tube amp and some tubes... damn these headphones really sing. Foam mod and amp really improved the bass and soundstage too.

Looking at a pair of ATH-M50s next.

You don't need to sped a lot for great audio.

Currently using a pair of HD555's(havent done the mod yet...need to) with a bravo v2 amp and clip-on mic combo(The zalman is good, but picked up too much interference, bought a cheaper one and works even better) and gotta tell, thing sounds beast on my PS3/PC. Avoid headsets at all costs, cheaper quality more expensive(Brands like Tritton, Turtle Beach, Skull Candy, Astro I would avoid)
