Did you use the low-res texutres? Unless you're PC is fromt he days where pong could be considered graphic intensive I'd think anything would be able to handle the low-res pack. Anyways I'll throw up another vote for LotRO mostly because it's free and can be entertaining. EVE online can be good as well, but it's incredibly difficult to get into and you'll be waiting a while before your uses can become anything more significant then cannon fodder and bait. Plus it's been going downhill for a few years now, it's become way to embedded in giant alliances and blob warfare.

But when I try to play it, I can never see myself playing it.. so much stuff to take it. lol. gotta try harder I guess. Maple Story? I've heard good things about it. Haven't played it myself though. Id recommend WoW just cause I like it lol.

Eve doesnt long at all you can be flying a Drake in under a month and ships like Rifters are always needed for tacklers and since the players subs has always been increasing I wouldent say its been going downhill.

Hehe, always loved how we used to prop our newbies up by telling them they'll always have a use in the cheap little T1 frigs, which was true way back in the day before the nano nerf. There will always be something for a player to do, but like I said to get them above cannon fodder status it's going to take a few months getting there ship skills up to at least level 4, T2 weapons with 4 or 5 backing it up, etc. That's when players become relevant in the world of EVE and not just an added warp inhibitor which you never really needed to begin with or a Drake with less DPS then a wet paper bag because the pilot lacks the skills and ISK to load it up with semi-decent equipment. It's not a knock or anything, just the reality of EVE's design.

And I meant going downhill from a quality perspective, not necessairy a subscriber perspective in that case it's stronger then ever. Obviously that's completely subjective, but to me the peak of the game was '05-'06 before the game turned the blod warfare, numbers rule all ****and the small wolfpacks with skilled players and fleet commanders could actually wreck a fleet twice it's size. After the speed nerf, armor buff, the capital ship boom, and the changes to obtaining a T2 schematic it really started getting stale for me and a lot of others who couldn't adapt to the massive 0.0 alliances where everyone is shuffled in with hundreds to thousands of other irrelevant people, you sat around for hours targeting people down your list, insta-popping them, and praying you didn't end up getting randomly insta-popped. I had a good 5 years with EVE, but yeah from a quality perspective I thought the game was going downhill.

May I recommend Final Fantasy 11? The game is a subscription-based game and comes with 30 day Free Trial. It is an outdated game but the game is being consistently updated.

I hear Darkfall is getting some new and very cool content in the coming weeks. I'm waiting for all of it to get implemented before I go back.
