Liquid Tension Experiment?pinneyapple
I'd say that too. Some Steve Vai, Joe Satrani & Marty Friedman would be good instrumental too. It depends on what kind of music you like. If your into new age stuff, there is River Of Stars & Medwyn Goodall Moon Goddess which is good instrumental.
If you go for Marty Friedman, go for the last two albums, Music For Speeding & Loudspeaker, the older ones arent quite instrumental only and this isnt the same style at all.
I would recommend Power Metal in general, it normally involves long stories and sounds epic. smokeydabear076
What kind of music is it?
Haha... I totally thought you meant a different kind of grinding.vdarkfall999
Me too at first, like the Let The Bodies Hit The Floor song in an FPS hehe.
This song is sick, I don't really like this kind of music, but it fits well in a First Person Shooter.
I'm not really a MMORPG kinda guy, but as a relentless FPS player, I've always rocked out to Smashing Pumpkins, even back when I was in college playing over LAN back in the mid 90's. I just can't count how many rounds of Quake Team Fortress I played rocking out, since VOIP wasn't popular back then, music + text was it. For Grinding though, I would most likely want something that kept me on my feet, like in FPS, and that means some hard rock, and that would be up to you as far as preferences go.

What kind of music is it?
It is a genre, not a band. Bands like Iced Earth, Blind Guardian, Kamelot, Demons & Wizards, and Primal Fear. There are a lot more but those are the ones that come to my mind right now.[QUOTE="DrugSkill69"][QUOTE="smokeydabear076"]I would recommend Power Metal in general, it normally involves long stories and sounds epic. smokeydabear076

LOL that's exactly what I'm doing. I'm in World of Warcraft grinding for Motes of Fire in Shadowmoon Valley.
As for everyone else, thanks for all your suggestions and I will definitely look into them all.
Back when I played WoW, I used to listen to di.fm (Techno/Trance, Net Radio).
I know guys who used to listen to everything from Bach to Ghost Faced Killas whilst grinding.
For motivation...Tool's Aenima or Lateralus
For relaxing.....Aphex Twin's Selected Ambient Works 85-92.
