The Last Remnant. For me, it was an okay game. It seems to be an equal split between those who liked it and didn't like it.

yeah srry arent too many jrpg's for the pc.. you want the short list?? okay..

last remnant

ff7

ff11

ff14 (when it arrives)

SMT: imagine

thats about it...

jrpg's will never be safe in a pc world as long as we have epically fast processors/gpu's and a high energy player base..

we expect games that really move.. even the best consoles (hardware wise) dont stack up anywhere NEAR a new pc..

hence why we have games like shattered horizons and the ps3.. doesnt.

It's not much like Final Fantasy but you should give The Witcher a try.

What kind of similarities are you looking for? The type of story, or the game play, or the art style?

wow good question. hmmm i guess im looking for similiar gameplay. i dont have a ton of time to play games, and FF13 was good for me, especially the fact that its linear and i didnt have to do a lot of backtracking. i enjoyed the dragon age story better. when it comes to art style im pretty much open to all styles.

Hmmm... have you tried the KotOR games (Knights of the Old Republic)? They both have linear stories, but you get a lot of influence in how they unfold. The game play is the Aurora engine, the one CD Project Red licensed for The Witcher, but more obviously turn base than that game was. Neverwinter Nights 2 is also good, very much the same "feel" as Dragon Age.

I double this plus toss in KoTOR II as well, which was developed by Obsidian.

honestly Kotor would be like mass effect meets final fantasy.. as far as gameplay goes. I would recommend both kotor and kotor 2 as well, both awesome games.
