The only really good TBS games I've played in the past year are GalCiv2 and Civ4, but I've grown bored of both and am looking for a new one to be addicted to. Hybrids are fine too, but I've played Rome:TW and Rise of Nations before you mention those.
If you liked GalCiv 2 and you're okay with hybrids, why not check out Sins of a Solar Empire? It has all of the size, scope and depth of a TBS, but it's all real time. It's not a real time strategy, though - it's more like a real time representation of a turn based game. It'a also by Ironclad.
It's also absolutely magnificent. It's been out since Monday and I've already spent about close to fifty hours with it. My review has quite a lot of info if you want to read up on the game, and links to a couple youtube videos worth watching.

Disciples 3 has a sick artstyle. I can't wait for it.
King's Bounty released a trailer recently, and it really caught my attention.
