I have been long-suffering for the drivers ever since I bought my card. Has there been any news latelyon the release?

Did you get the 7.12 drivers?

ATi release drivers every month (usually at the middle or end of the month). Their naming scheme follows:
Year.Month (e.g. 2007, June would be 7.6).

So obviously, their latest ones were for 2007, December (7.12).

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I heard that ATI would release a "super driver" for the 3870 that would make it more powerful than the 8800gt.

Would be awsome if they did. Cheaper card FTW! Wonder if it will be out this month. Shame there will be cack all benchies for it though so it'll be pretty hard to test.

2 3870s in crossfire > 2 8800GTs in SLI

But you're mobo needs to have 16/16 voltage timers on them. So a X38 chipset or a X48.

have a DELL mobo with 2 pci-e slots... no matter what software I use the chipset is 'unknown'. I'm using Phoenix bios, too.
