Whenever my computer got slow I used to reload it, so I could just start it over fresh with a cleaned out hard drive. For some reason now, my computer refuses to reload. Whenever I try it gives me an error message that says something like ,"disk manager is detected on drive one, but disk manager is not running." i use a windows XP SP2, and i normally would reload be restarting and pressing F11(i believe, maybe F10 or F12) and choosing a system reload. If you have any ideas of how I can fix this and reload my computer, your help is much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Are you talking about reformatting your hard drive?

Insert your Windows CD, restart the PC, select in the menu to install the OS and select the partition you want to install the OS to. Before installation starts, the selected partition gets formatted.

does that mean that, with two partitions, I'd have to install the OS twice?

Don't you need to change the Boot Device priority first, before it detects the XP CD ?

Yes, but most of the time, it's already set accordingly or it's so straight-obvious, you often forget to mention it.
