Hi everyone,

im gonna buy a new PC in the next couple of months, and I would like to now if any of you PC experts out there could give me some hints/help. BTW its ONLY for gaming!

I'm have been looking at these specs:

http://www.edbpriser.dk/Product/Details.aspx?pid=4667629- ASUS P8P67 WS Revolution (Motherboard)

http://www.edbpriser.dk/Product/Details.aspx?pid=4594564- Corsair Dominator-GT 2 x 4 GB (RAM)

http://www.edbpriser.dk/Product/Details.aspx?pid=4606783 - Core i7 I7-2600K 8 MB (Processor)

http://www.edbpriser.dk/Product/Details.aspx?pid=798029 - Crucial RealSSD C300 128 GB (Harddisk)

Im thinking of buying this graphic card: http://www.edbpriser.dk/Product/Details.aspx?q=5850&sp=all&pid=4390136but im not too sure.

I would like this computer too hold for the next 2 + years...

Any suggestions or advice on this setup.

dont go with that gpu man, 5850 is a generation behind and cant play directx11 titles smothely, get something like 6950,6970, or nvidia 560,570.

cpu i7-2600k is the best cpu but i suggest get i5-2500k with gtx 570 with that price

else configration is rocking man except gpu.

while i agree on getting a 560ti or a 6950 the 5850 is still one of the best single Gpu's around and can play any dx11 titles smoothly at 1080p

the hd 6850 is worse than a 5850 but it preforms better when aa and af are enabled.. so unless you know how to operate those two settings ignore it.

the 560ti is a HUGE improvement but im fairly certain thats out of budget.

Question: Why are you going for a 1000w? If you buy a 6850, then you will only be able to crossfire two cards max, which you will only need a 750w power supply at most.

However, if you really want a 1000w power supply, that Corsair one is overpriced compared to the other offerings that site has. Take this Coolermaster for example.

Get an i5 2500k instead, especially if it's only for gaming. Take the money saved and get a better GPU, as people have said in this thread.

MOnsOOn_dk

The i5 2500k has 4 cores and 4 threads. The i7 2600k has 4 cores and 8 threads. However, the extra threads on the i7 are useless for gaming, so it'd be a more cost-worthy option to pick up the 2500k.
