I am wondering if there are any sites out there that let you configure system specs and see if certain games would run on that set up. Is there any thing like that or something somewhat related?

Well, it doesn't actually test performance, but this site will automatically compare your specs to that of the game's:

alright, Im just a little confused right now, I use to be big into PC gaming 5 years ago back when I had a good PC and that was before multcore processors broke out. I don't understand requirements anymore I guess, I mean, Im confused, When it says 2.6+GHz required for processor, does that mean single core, or what???? Can you run it with a dual-core 2.5 GHz processor?

Try yougamers.com too. I think it's better than systemrequirementslab.com
