Any plans for Republic Commando 2?

The first game was awesome, and the ending left you with no doubt there there was definately thoughts for a sequal, but so far, I haven't heard any news at all about a sequal.

So has the idea been scrapped completely, is the game in progress but under wraps, or are the devs simply waiting a bit longer to start the developement?

Anyone know?

It was a great game. It was so good that many games after that used some features from it. Games like Rainbow Six Vegas, Gears of War (You are the leader of DELTA SQUAD, Personality of your teammates, On screen Blood Splash and etc) are among those. Also from some shots of the upcoming "Tiberium" , the gun in first person view looks very similar to one from Republic Commando. I don't no why Lucasarts has abandoned this great IP.miladesn2

I agree. With the Force Unleashed and the lego games in development I doubt Lucas Arts is thinking about a RepCom 2 right now.
