Much better then a WRT54G?

after reading some reviews, seems that the buffalo whr-hp-54 is better than the wrt54g
"Pros: The Linksys WRT54G is arguably the popular standard in home routers, but the Buffalo WHR-HP-G54 turns out to be a better alternative. The Buffalo's range is better, and connections are more stable. It uses the same Broadcom chip as the Linksys, but the addition of an amplifier (the 'HP' stands for "high power") gives it better range than I ever got from a Linksys. Signal strength on all these consumer grade routers tends to wax and wane during use, but the Buffalo's signal strength is more consistent and seems more stable. The Buffalo's case design is more aesthetically pleasing than the toy-like appearance of the Linksys models. The Buffalo is physically smaller, and can be oriented horizontally or vertically with a small plastic stand, included. The power transformer is inline between the 2-prong AC cord and the DC plug to the router, which means you don't have a blocky power brick taking up more than its share of power outlets on your surge protector.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: The box includes the router, antenna, power supply, vertical-mount stand, wall-mount adapter, and an ethernet cable. There is also an installation CD, but I never recommend using that on any of these home routers. Just plug it in and go. The defaults in the router and in Windows usually work as-is. Open your browser, go to the router's IP address, and tinker with as many or as few of the configuration options as you want. Buffalo's stock firmware provides more configuration options than the Linksys models. More options can be more confusing for a networking newbie, but the Buffalo firmware is probably a nice middle-ground for those new to networking but possessing some technical aptitude. Personally, I prefer flashing with the free firmware from DD-WRT, which turns this into an advanced router. I've installed many DD-WRT modified WRT54G models in homes and small businesses over the years, but this Buffalo is turning out to be a better choice."
"Pros: Have setup many of these for clients...and I own one myself! Great for setting up in WDS mode (repeating) to eliminate dead spots or to increase range. Built in amplifier. Great 3rd party firmware available (DD-WRT and Tomato).
Cons: Doesn't go quite as far as a Netgear Rangemax, but does much better job with interference (i.e. a brick wall or furnace), it's also a decent amount cheaper. Stock firmware isn't very straitforward. Setting up WDS (repeating) isn't fun the first time to try it! You have to turn off turbo (108) mode and use WEP with stock firmware.
Other Thoughts: Use optional Buffalo antennas for increased range! Get this over the Linksys WRT54GX, WRT54G or GS."
"Pros: My trusty wrt54g started acting up so what to do... I got the whr-hp-g54. Super fast delivery from Newegg as always! Quick flash to DD-WRT firmware and we have a new rocking router! I have a bigger antenna from my old wrt54g that I put on this new buffalo and my range got even better. What can I say, I'm in wireless heaven...
Cons: none!"
